Explore Oregon-Made Sparkling Wines

Crafted using méthode traditionnelle and Demeter Certified Biodynamic® fruit from our estate vineyards, Domaine Willamette sparkling wines spend years resting on their lees before our winemaker releases them for your enjoyment.

2022
Brut Rosé

Elegant bubbles and a fine mousse reflect bright rose and salmon colors. The sweetness of strawberry and starfruit complements the gentle aromas of rose petal and watermelon. Flavors of grapefruit, candied lemon peel, lychee, golden raspberry and wet stone on the palate are balanced by fresh acidity and a medium body. The time on lees accentuates the richness and zesty finish.

The Vineyard

Named in honor of our Founder Jim Bernau, Bernau Estate Vineyard is located in the Dundee Hills and is home to our méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine facility, which opened in 2022. The vines at Bernau Estate Vineyard are farmed using Biodynamic techniques, first certified through Demeter® in December 2023.

Biodynamic farming uses sustainable, holistic practices, including composting and the use of special preparations, to holistically promote the soil’s long-term health. It involves managing a farm utilizing the principles of a living organism and is minimally dependent on outside materials to meet the needs of the land.

The original 15 acres of Pinot Noir were planted in 1994 and in 2019 we added an additional nine acres of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The vineyard has a very gentle southwest-facing slope and Woodburn, Jory & Nekia soils, which are deep and well-drained.
